Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test strategies.
• Perform functionality, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects through the complete defective life cycle.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure quality deliverables.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and frameworks.

Technical Skills & Requirements

Automation & Testing Skills

• Strong understanding of testing fundamentals, testing algorithms, and test design techniques (Equivalence Partitioning, Boundary Value Analysis, Decision Tables, State Transition, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and frameworks (Selenium or equivalent).
• Ability to identify what to automate and when, with a clear understanding of ROI in automation.
• Experience in creating, maintaining, and executing automation scripts.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Technical Knowledge

• Working knowledge of JavaScript and HTML (hands-on or strong willingness to work on them).
• Experience with web-based and window-based application testing.
• Knowledge of HTML, XML, Web Services (REST/SOAP).
• Good understanding of SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
• Basic knowledge of IIS, environments, deployments, and network configurations.
• Ability to analyze logs, error messages, and system behavior to diagnose application issues.

Problem-Solving & Analysis

• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
• Ability to understand application architecture and testing flow/logic.
• Capable of handling complex problem-solving scenarios independently.

Eligibility Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related fields (BSc CS/IT, BCA, MCA).
• Certification in Automation Testing is mandatory/preferred.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint for reports and documentation).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new tools, technologies, and testing frameworks.
